• ASNAF 2005 Conference in Manila, Philippines - 22 November 2005

  ASNAF successfully concluded its 2nd annual conference held on 11 - 12 November 2005 at The Peninsula Manila in The Philippines. ASNAF Chairman, Ms Cherry Bernaldo hosted this conference, which was attended by 22 delegates from ASNAF member firms. Representing Fidunion International, ASNAF Strategic Alliance Partner was Mr Bernard Hauss, Fidunion Vice Chairman who came from Paris with his wife. The conference theme "Rationalizing Governance and Accounting Standards: A Challenge to Asian Accounting Firms" was well deliberated after a keynote address delivered by The Philippines Central Bank Governor Amando M. Tetangco, Jr. Another guest speaker Ms Mercedes B. Suleik presented a paper, which was well received, on "Challenges of Corporate Governance in ASEAN". The delegates and their spouses also had the opportunity to build a closer rapport and this augurs well for ASNAF's future.
